Banner and flag pole: Republic of Cuba

I was roaming an airport in Europe not too long ago and noticed one international flight to the city of Havana, the capital of the country / Cuba. I don't know that much about Cuba unless it has had a difficult relationship with the United States. I am aware of their respective flags which are more than 100 years, was adopted in 1902. Since then on residential and commercial buildings flagpoles everywhere on the island raised.

The flag itself shows three horizontal stripes, which are each in the same blue shadow color colored design. In addition, two white horizontal stripes between the 3 blue bands are displayed. A so-called red "" triangle on the hoist side of the flag has a White Star.

The original design of the flag was back in the year 1848. This was at a time where a liberation movement sought independence from the Kingdom of Spain. It was then flag pole just flown during 1850. Official adoption was not for more than 50 years later.

The idea of a new flag was produce were thrown by Cuban movements, the an independent "Cuba". The three blue colored ribbons to symbolize or represent the 3 parts of the County, the to the grade: Central, occidental and Oriental parts of the country, that is. The 2 white bands represent the purity of the patriotic efforts. It is interesting to note that the red coloured triangle on the hoist side is to symbolize the blood of those who shed to "the nation free."

Officially known as "Cuba", is considered the country to a socialist State in the area of Caribbean. Around 500 plus ago, Columbus sailed and claimed the island, which today is Cuba. A few hundred years since that time the island was territory of the Kingdom of Spain until 1902. Originally, the so-called "Taino," native Americans inhabited also referred to as "Arawak" sometimes, Cuba.

After seizure of Cuba by the United States from the Spanish back in 1899, it took another year or two, before independence was granted to Cuba. In May 1902, the Cuban flag flagpoles was raised as an official symbol of the independence on residential and commercial buildings, and it has flown since then. The design of the flag remained unchanged, even during the times of the revolution during the 50's (that exact year is 1959).
